Susanna Reid confirmed as new presenter for good morning Britain, so who will replace her on breakfast?
According to BBC News "The programme's other presenters, including Louise Minchin, Naga Munchetty and Sally Nugent, will cover for Reid until a permanent replacement is found."
Promoting Louise to main presenter seems a no-brainer, she has great chemistry with Bill, is already in Salford and is very familiar to viewers - she's effectively been covering the role anyway ever since Susanna started Strictly. If they do want to experiment with a fresh face it should be on the weekend shift.
I don't know why people refer to the presenters of the first half of the week as "main presenters" anymore.
Since the move to Salford, both shifts are now three days each, and are effectively equal, one Monday to Wednesday and the second Thursday to Saturday, with Sunday being the minor role.
We have had it confirmed on the Daybreak forum from a trusted insider that Good Morning Britain will launch on April 28th, after Easter.
Obviously, it's a no-brainer that Louise will become the new Mon-Wed presenter. For Thursday-Saturday, either Sally or Naga. Both are really capable and likeable.
