THIS JUST IN - The last Breakfast News Extra was on 29th August 1997, the following Monday Can't Cook Won't Cook started at 9am. Well, that was the plan, anyway.
Of course, Steve, there was something else rather important that knocked CC,WC off the schedules on the particular date in question..............
I seem to remember that it was wall-to-wall news and Diana programming from Saturday night or early Sunday morning until Monday morning at about 11am or so, when a scheduled programme on home decorating (presented by Sean Rafferty and that bald cockney guy who now reports for The One Show) was shown.
I have a vague recollection of Breakfast News on that Monday finishing at 9am and other news programming following afterwards. Can anyone confirm?
But it finished in the summer of 1997, I think.
