Hate Nicholas Owen. He's just rubbish. Smarmy and inappropriately jokey.

No way! Gotta defend his experience, excellent delivery and professionalism. Yes, he might bang the desk too hard, end speech with inflexions and actually look at the clock when saying, "the time is..." but he absolutely is not smarmy, I actually think he's quite cool at the helm.

Have to agree, he is one of my favourites at the BBC. Think he has both authority when needed, but also a down to earth style. Looking forward to seeing him tomorrow, and possibly over the weekend.

Nothing wrong with Nicholas Owen. I think it's great he's back on Breakfast.

I think he's a good presenter - suits Breakfast well. Here's a cap for those interested:

I quite enjoyed listening to some of the banter between Nick and the other presenters this morning.

Yes, he is very friendly and warm isn't he - a nice presenting style. I'd quite to see him do Breakfast more often!

Nick >>>>>>> Kate.

The faces she pulls and the self-righteous way she says her name, and the head bobbing. She's definitely my Public Enemy No. 1. Isn't it time for her to take maternity leave already?! I don't want her on Breakfast any more.

I have warmed to Kate lately actually. Maybe it is following her on Twitter, she always seems very keen to engage and down to earth on there.
