I have to say that Jon Kay has been a very good presenter on Breakfast this week, considering he doesn't regularly present the programme. Definitely someone to think about in future for a presenting role on Breakfast or somewhere on BBC News. Louise, as usual, is very professional and extremely likeable. I really hope she has involvement with Breakfast in Salford, because she really is an all-round good presenter on Breakfast.

As for Saturday and Sunday, it's Simon Jack and Naga Munchetty. For next week, Charlie is on all week, with Kate Silverton Mon-Thurs (just great!) and with Susanna on Friday.

Happy holidays to Bill and Sian then!

Sian is now off until September - she is presenting a history programme all though August.

I forgot about that - she'll be presenting with Dan Snow for a live history show.

he's alright - quite likeable - but he needs some lessons on how to look comfortable sitting on the sofa and he needs to stop holding his mug of tea while delivering a serious news item!

I noticed that too. Maybe he's got a touch of dry mouth. Couldn't blame him for that.

I like him a lot, actually. He seems enthusiastic and has a genuine smile - which is never a bad thing in a TV presenter, especially in the morning.

The stills they put up on their Facebook page (with the day's guests) make him look like he's having a great time.

Very endearing.

Simon presenting tomorrow and Sunday - I think Kate was putting him off on Sunday...he was all over the place!

Although, it could be Gavin Grey presenting on Monday if the strike goes ahead!

Has it been confirmed as to the presenters for the Salford move? I'm not entirely sure this is a bit of confirmation, or if it will please anybody...

Looks very nice either way.

I'm under the impression Bill and Susanna were moving (the latter obviously confirmed with the picture on the window) and Sian and Chris are definitely not. I'm sure I read somewhere Charlie is freelance? What about Carol? Will weather just come from London?

Bill, Susanna and Mike (Bushell) have all been confirmed as moving, but it's not been announced what the latter two's posts will be. Sian Williams and Chris Hollins are definitely leaving, but I don't believe anything has been announced about either Carol Kirkwood or Simon Jack, and as said above the BBC said Charlie is freelance and so it's up to him if he goes or not. I'd guess the situation with Carol and Simon is more complicated with Carol being a Met Office employee, and Simon being utilised by the BBC News Channel.

It's going to be Nicholas Owen and Naga on the sofa next Friday according to the Radio Times...looking forward to seeing Nick there!

Surely all 'talent' are freelance ?

Same pairing were on the sofa a couple of years ago - Nick was a very warm personality and suited the program well, he was a bit edgy though as he's not used to the format I guess. Should be interesting though!
