In view of the comments made by Chris Hollins, which suggested that he would rather boil his own head in oil than move to the neanderthal north, then you can conclude that his tenure as the sports reporter on BBC Breakfast will come to an end when they relocate.

He'll probably end up doing weather reports for BBC Radio Solent..... Wink

If you ask me he'll become confined to daytime TV, occasional guest stints maybe on Radio One (if they'd have him) and reports on Watchdog and The One Show. The fact that Chris hasn't done more since winning Strictly I find interesting, given the Beeb usually goes out of its way to find new roles for Strictly contenders.

That surprised me as well when Tom Chambers won it Waterloo Road came calling, Alesha Dixon got the judge role and Natasha Kaplinsky presented it during Tess’s maternity leave. Just a thought It Takes 2? Claudia has quit the programme (but is still doing the results show) Chris could end up there? What surprises me most is that his stint as relief presenter of breakfast ended as well.

Am I missing something?

Kate Silverton has been on the couch since first thing this morning; and I walk down to work and pop the TV on and now Sian is there.

I was just about to mention that. I presume the interview with James McAvoy is pre-recorded, albeit in the studio. First time I've noticed this.

Or has Sian appeared for this interview? Seems unlikely.

The same thing occurred yesterday - a prerecorded interview with Rob Lowe done by Bill and Sian, before cutting back to Bill and Kate. Unusual that it's happened twice this week then!

Breakfast coming from N6 at the moment owing to "someone not putting money in the meter" in TC7 according to Bill Turnbull. Laughing

EDIT: They've just announced that they'll be "running downstairs" during the regional news opts at 6:27.

This has happened an awful lot recently. Good job they're moving to Broadcasting House soon!
