I don't think it will be a 'very different' Breakfast. They won't change the content and to be honest that's all what people are concerned about.

Of course it's a shame Sian is leaving, but it'll just be like when Fiona left GMTV, they'll replace her. It's a shame they couldn't replace Bill to be honest, I think the only reason hes going to Salford is because he knows he wouldn't get any other gig - hes awfully mumbly and quite boring IMO.

Do you have a source for that? 84 pages of this thread say otherwise.

No they don't - there are 84 pages of people saying "if they're moving to Salford how will they interview the Prime Minister?". All we actually know is they're moving to Salford, and Bill and Susanna will both be there. The rest is pure speculation.

Unless you meant people only care about content, at which point again it's only speculation content will be different.

The fact that they are saying Sian and Chris will remain with the show for the forseeable future, rather than until the move to Salford, makes me wonder if the new Salford team (presumably Bill and Susanna, as her move is being highlighted) will actually take over in London some time before the move, to make the transition more seamless.

Susanna Reid may have to fight to become 'top dog' at BBC Breakfast

“There will be a new female presenter and another male.”

The other man could be current weekend host Charlie Stayt, who is freelance and not eligible for the relocation package but has indicated that he’d like to stay.

I think you must be watching a completely different Bill Turnbull to me. He's bright and funny, not mumbly and boring.

Suggests that she might lose - certainly hope so!

Susanna's not the best, but I'd prefer her to some alternatives (such as Kate Silverton). I suspect as much will depend on who would replace Susanna as who else would get the weekday slot. Interesting the Mirror claims Charlie Stayt is freelance - would explain why the BBC didn't confirm or deny his move.

Edit: If memory serves correctly, Susanna's religious programme is due for a second series this summer. If so, it might be a good chance to test a new face for Salford or familiarise viewers with the new presenter.

Interesting to see an old 90's style Newsround logo behind him at about the 08.10 mark.

Remnant from the days they used to have a camera positioned in there when they read out emails.
