What is the point of moving everyone except Carol - you would then need people to operate the studio

what are you talking about? There would be no studio, it would be done from the small booth at the Weather Centre like every other weather bulletin. Self-operated and already running.

Isn't the weather studio completely self controlled by a few buttons the weather forecaster themselves push on a panel to the left of the screen? If so surely all is needed then is a feed to London of which there will no doubt be many.

Yes, everything from the height of the camera to the lighting is operated by the presenter themselves.

So Breakfast could use that as an option then if Carol was required to stay but she didn't move (wouldn't be the same, after someone on the previous page said they had brought everyone into the studio just months ago)

Anyone think that BBC and Daybreak are swapping audiences?

Yes, I think they use hand clickers and pedals to control everything out of sight of the viewer.

It's looking bleak for BBC Breakfast.

I'm sure you can do a News/Sport/Weather/Local traffic in that new studio. I think the traffic from your region will be more useful then local news in that slot. The local presenters could tell you if you want the local news head over to Red Button page (Page Number they say here depending on what region you in) Smile

Well they certainly do (or at least did) News, travel and weather in London's Breakfast bulletins - they even had a specific traffic reporter for some time.
