Is Wake Up To Money on Five Live moving to Manchester? If so one of the presenters could perhaps do the Business News Breakfast from Manchester. This assumes they wanted to slice the business shift into two Breakfast/News Channel.
Will Business news return to LSE or will they have a presenter in Manchester report all the news from London?

Westy, this is something I have been thinking about ever since the announcement.
NWT could use a simple green screen/newsroom style shot for the Breakfast updates similar to the daytime summaries from the mid 00s like this:(Source : TV Ark / BBC News / News Bulletins)
It's an interesting point - would NWT's Breakfast opts have their own gallery or would the Breakfast gallery handle them (like the South East bit of Nationwide)? If it did have a separate gallery (even if the presenter was in a corner of the same studio floor) would NWT be the sustaining feed during Breakfast?
Talking of Media City, is there a chance Breakfast & North West Today/Tonight could share the same studio?
(Obviously NWT would have to find a different home during Breakfast, unless they could 'hide quietly' in a corner?)

I am wondering about weekend presentation of the programme, would it still be handled by the news channel or are they going to have a completely seperate programme ala weekday editions. If they do have them as a seperate programme then surely it is going to cost alot more to produce, and in this age of cost cutting at the BBC it really could be an exspensive move.
I also think that North West Today and Breakfast will be handled by two separate teams and it is very unlikely they will share the same studio, it would be like saying BBC news at Ten and BBC London are going to share the same studio when News moves to Broadcasting House. It would not surprise me if Breakfast and Newsround both come from the same studio like they do at present.

It's nothing like that. Breakfast is on from 6-9:15am. The first major NWT bulletin isn't until 1:30 so what's wrong with them sharing a bulletin? BBC News at Ten don't have a dedicated studio that would be redundant for the rest of the day - if it did, then there would be no reason why BBC London couldn't use it for the lunchtime and evening bulletins. It's much less costly to have one studio for Breakfast and NWT than have two, one of which wouldn't be used for the vast majority of the day.
As for the teams, they would of course be separate, in the same way Newsround, Newsnight and the Six O'Clock News have separate teams but share the same studio.

That is why I said I think it would be more likely Breakfast and Newsround share the same studio, but who knows all 3 could end up being together. I very much doubt North West Tonight would become the network sustaining feed though.

I think NWT becoming the sustaining feed during Breakfast, where currently TC7 cuts up BBC London, is a possibility, to save having to feed London up the line to Salford and then back down to London.

I'm sorry but that headline is possibly the biggest load of b*llocks I've ever read.
Nowhere in that article at all, apart from in the hack's words, does Sian say that she is leaving the programme.
