BBC Breakfast

I think the reason for doing it for Newsnight doesn't apply to Breakfast.

Anyone else think Breakfast should use Newsnight's new coffee table (minus the metallic surround)?

The current table is clunky and 'orrible!

I wish Breakfast would use BOTH new desks! It seriously looks so cramped handing back from the business and now the weather across such a small space.

When you look at opening shots from the 2006 relaunch, and how good it looked having the presenters behind the desk, I really miss that. They need to lighten the whole thing up with just a carpet under the coffee table or something, too. The black flooring isn't really suitable for a breakfast show, and yet we have that bright, colourful backdrop!

Nice to see that Julia Somerville was on Breakfast today, she seemed to fit in really well!

Who presented Breakfast with Julia today?

From the small bits I shall I thought the opposite - seemed uncomfortable and nervous.

I agree that was how I felt after the bits I saw this morning. It was possibly however her first time on Breakfast and with Charlie so no surprise; and it's a blooming early start. Did a good job overall though.

At points she did get flustered, such as when she said the wrong time and then got tongue twisted trying to correct herself, but at other points she did seem to be getting into it and was quite good.

just turned on breakfast...where is the female presenter?!?

EDIT - she's (sian) at westminster! - I would have thought there would have been a female presenter in the studio though but maybe it was at short notice...
