Perhaps in the studio, or even the weather centre? Would that save a little bit of budget perhaps?

I am sure they are bringing her indoors finally. Being in that garden brings nothing to the show anyway, pointless.

If they do it where Simon does the business from (which I think is also the same place the weather comes from on the 6?) then they wouldn't need a team outside and Carol could stop wearing hats!

Perhaps they might move Simon over to the desk at the other side if Carol uses where he is...don't the business sections and weather come right after each other...

I suppose this means a wee bit more pressure on the studio crew as you don't have as many times to make a noise, discuss items coming up, letting guests onto set etc..

Is it not more likely it will come from the Weather centre? As is the case at weekends?!

Thanks for all your suggestions. Out of interest, I've just seen on the National News thread that Newsnight is getting a 'refresh' on Monday with a new open and close and a new sofa. Could there be something similar in the offing for Breakfast?

But newsnight's current set, titles, graphics and music have stayed the same since the N6 & TC7 studio relaunches of May (?) 2006, while Breakfast only 'relaunched' its graphics and studio last year, so I can't imagine any big changes. Unless they're planning on changing something about TC7 to allow more change between programmes, which I sincerely doubt.

Out of interest, during Working Lunch does the entire desk get taken out, stored in a cupboard and that hideous coins thing go in its space or does it fit over the top? I was just wondering if they take the desk out for WL, and I know they did when Newsround first moved into the new-layout studio, would it really take the crew too long/ too hard work to remove it during Breakfast after Newsnight? Just seems a waste of the studio if it's not being used - you could create a far better set up for the business and sport, for example, in that area. I much preferred Breakfast in N6 when they actually used the studio, rather than just a sofa in front of some BARCO screens.

Nothing to get excited about, other than Carol - She's been brought in to the studio, that's all.
