Here's hoping that she's better than Sonia. I rather like Noel on the other hand. He seems to have a bit of personality.

You're lucky you don't have to endure his awful 'personality' every night on Newsline!

'Working Lunch' presenter Naga Munchetty (SP?) presented 'Breakfast' this morning and read the headlines on 'Sunday AM' - she is a very good presenter, did a great job.

Could have been worse, they could have lined up a BBC World aston declaring the local time to be 19:51 or something.

Is it my imagination, or have they made the background a bit brighter? When the new backdrop was launched there were quite a few comments that it looked a bit dark, but I noticed this morning that it was looking quite bright with the colours nice and vibrant. Perhaps they've tweaked the image itself or been tinkering with TC7's Barco screens??

That was deliberate - they were reporting from a place which was dubbed "best village" or somesuch - but weren't divulging the location until later in the programme.

Odd that you took the time to capture and upload a screengrab, but didn't listen to the content.

Yep, thought that myself this morning. It definitely looks better.

I wasn't paying attention to the programme as I had the radio tuned into Moyles and just the TV running in the background. Even so, it looks ridiculous Gavin, you have to admit it. AFAIK the aston changed after a brief vox pop a few minutes after the programme, hardly later in the programme.

I had to laugh last year when points west went up in a hot air balloon and the aston said 'Live Somewhere over the West'

It doesn't look great - but in context it makes sense.

Worth pointing out that you capped at 7.51 - when I tuned in at 10 past 8 they threw to the reporter but there wasn't a location aston at all.

They still hadn't revealed the location at that point.

Maybe you should watch the programme with audio before coming to an opinion then.

It made perfect sense in the context of the story.

Many, many years ago, Breakfast News or Brekkie Boy (or perhaps another member altogether) was trying to identify a newsreader who appeared on BBC Breakfast News back in the 90's. Her image appeared on various websites (including TV Ark and TV Room Plus), but none of us could remember her name. Casually looking for something else today on Youtube, I came across this old clip of BBC Breakfast News, which identifies said presenter as Beatrice Hollier. In this clip, she is anchoring alongside Laurie Mayer.

Phew! It only took five years to solve that one..................LOL.
