What a lovely, subtle way of marking the end of an era when the policy is clearly not to mention it too much. Top marks for whoever directed that!

That was a nice close! Only thing I would have done was dim the lights except for the lightboxes and the desk

They're not lightboxes, they're Barcos.

Just in the process of uploading a little montage of the presentational features during the final programme:
Arrow The start
Arrow A couple of opt-outs
Arrow A couple of TOTHs
Arrow The close Confused

I think he meant the lightboxes on the ceiling.

Ah, I see!

Anyhoo, here is my little montage: I hope those who didn't (or can't) watch it, enjoy my selection of camera shots shown.

I like the way Louise also said 'thanks from the team' at the end, perhaps those in TC7 that won't be working on the programme from N6 over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Thanks for that Stuart - glad someone has recorded something better than my poor quality one. Some great touches from today, wonder if they'll be trying anything fancy in N6 over the Easter bank holiday?

Many thanks, Stuart. I really enjoyed that montage. A quietly fitting tribute to all the years from studio 7. Particularly the very end shot of the door closing. Sob.

What was the close up of the mugs on the horribly tacky old table?

At 2.17, it sounds as if someone has hit play on the close music and then quickly faded it out.

I think that's just the way the extended end music plays - it certainly wasn't any of my editing that did that.

It's a very subtle change, Daniel! Wink

As for the the others, thanks for your comments about the montage. I did want to capture it for all to see, but didn't get chance until I got home from work.

Not sure if they'll get chance to do anything special from N6 for the final London programme: it may be skeleton staff over the bank holiday on Monday.

As for Moz's comment about the cheap table: I can only imagine it was supposed to represent the one used by studio staff for their own mugs - which is why it appeared cheap and well used. That's just my interpretation though.

Nothing wrong with your editing Wink and it is very minor!

The final guests also stayed to the after programme debrief where all turned up in TC7. They sang an impromptu operatic lament for the crew and presenters.(seperate to the on air one). Nice people.
