If you like that, you'll love the video...

Martin's work is superb and always looks exactly like the genuine article when it comes to mocks like this. It should be the other way round really, this should be the titles and what we have now a bad mock from The Gallery.

Next week on Breakfast according to Radio Times...

Sat & Sun: Nicholas Owen & Naga Munchetty
Mon: Bill Turnbull & Susanna Reid
Tue: Bill Turnbull & Sally Nugent
Wed: Charlie Stayt & Naga Munchetty
Thu: Charlie Stayt & Louise Minchin
Fri: Simon McCoy & Louise Minchin

Good to see Sally finally on the sofa! Presumably all this madness is because there maybe some screen tests going on in Salford?

Indeed, pilots started this week and will continue until the launch date. Regarding the launch of the new website, it gives hints to the new graphics. FYI - they're all pretty much the same, just remade for HD with less red (more orange) and a more '3D' feel.

.......studio looks tiny/regional.

What's this obsession with national programmes having big studios? Most of the time, it looks like a lot of wasted space. Surely it's more important to be fit for the purpose, rather than to be big?

A visually larger studio helps the presenters and guests to relax, and not feel too cramped and compressed.

N6 (News at 10, News 24) is tiny, but looks big thanks to clever set design, camera angles, and wide lenses... Imagine the news channel coming from your local regions studio all day every day, it would look cramped by comparison, which is what breakfast is doing.

Did anyone ever give a decent reason for splitting breakfast from the rest of BBC News in BH?

Do you have a source for that?

Stands to reason surely?

Sounds absolute rubbish to me. Why would a larger set make people more relaxed?

Are you more relaxed out in an open field where you can stretch out, or in an elevator, where you need to keep yourself to yourself

I'd be more relaxed in the safety of a properly maintained lift (not elevator, please) rather than a field that may have a bull in it. I would not be happy presenting a 2 hours+ news programme from either location though, so this terrible example proves nothing.

Would echo that.

The only time that studio looks small is in the wides and its completely down to the lack of height, the floor space is probably no different to their current set.

Also the dark lighting contributes to it feeling like a crypt.

All they need to do to make it look bigger is light it brighter and key the ceiling and make it look taller... hmm a virtual set, what a novel idea.
