Surely they could do a pre record for Andrew Marr's bulletin 15 or 20mins before hand?

It would never work as often there is a live dtl with the "latest" news. hen again, recording what should be a live news would be frowned on very heavily (apart from opning hl sequences of longer programmes)

The last news also includes a clip from a major guest that has been on the programme.

must be a presenter free at that time, whether NC, London or World?

Not easily. The duty NC and World presenters would be on air at 9.01am and the next World/NC presenter doesn't start until Midday/1pm respectively. And I very much doubt the London presenter would do a 9.01am bulletin and then the London regional news potentially as late as 11.15pm

The BBC would never allow a scheduled News Bulletin to be pre-recorded.

Indeed - you would like to think any respectable organisation would be the same.

I take it Heather Stott will continue to use the NWT/Breakfast studio for Breakfast weather bulletins when Breakfast move into the same studio. She would probably have to just move out of the way quickly, although she wouldn't be in shot anyway, although there may be some background noise. Not sure.

Also some newish shots used last week on NWT to show floor space and various other shots that could be used for Breakfast.

4 weeks tomorrow!

Shows off the set far better. Got worried that the Breakfast set wouldn't be that good, when they started using it for NWT. Much better now.

Isn't it just. Studios always start to get used better over time as more adventurous camera angles etc. are tried - will hopefully look very nice with Breakfast in there!

I've been thinking the same each time I watch NWT - it's too small! But now I think that Breakfast will fit really well in there and although smaller I think they'll really make use of the great shots like the above.

Plus lighting will be different to now, and who knows about the screens behind.

That lighting's a lot more red than at launch, too. As shown in this picture from TV Live:

That "might" be because the earlier grab is from a daytime backing whilst the bigger redder one has a night time type backing. Different lighting balance for different time of the day possibly?

Looks to me like they've just wound some more red into the cameras. The whole colour balance of the picture has changed rather than there just being more red light.

Theres an upright pillar that is red in the later shots and "off" in the earlier one.

Am I the only one who can't look at these captures without noticing how low and unsightly the lighting grid is? A problem with turning into a space intended to be an office into a studio, for sure, but not a problem you notice nearly as much, say, in N8 or N9 at TVC.

Edit: And it almost looks like they've monkeyed with the saturation in some way.

Looks to me as if the LED red areas in the earlier grabs were being hit by a lot of stray white light as well as being less saturated in their own right. The later grabs looks like the keys have been more tightly focused to reduce the spill onto the set, and avoid washing out the coloured areas.
