There's your confirmation Sally's on Breakfast sport (presumably weekend?):

Andrew Lindsay and Jenny Culshaw will also host updates for the BBC News channel, as will Mike Bushell and Sally Nugent who will move to Salford to present BBC Breakfast's sport news.

I don't really know if she will do weekends. I would put her on weekdays. Has a better look for weekdays. Not normal for the weekend sport presenter to do weekday relief presenting on the main programme.

She just a far more professional presenter.

Sally normally appears at weekends though, not weekdays. Interesting that they say both will appear on the News Channel as well - I wonder if the sports presenter will stay on the BBC News Channel after breakfast, ala business updates with Declan Curry/ Simon Jack.

It already happens at the weekend - presumably this is why sports updates for weekend Breakfast have apparently already moved to Salford. It would seem logical - it would be consistent with weather and business. Presumably both require similar levels of preparation.

That was my thinking too. I just hope they do move weekend sport back to the sofa when Breakfast moves next month - I see no reason they can't.

Though it's worth noting the Breakfast business presenter doesn't seem to present on the News Channel any more - I wonder if this is because when Simon Jack moved on they knew the new presenter would be Breakfast-only for Salford?

Why would they want to do Sport from the sofa when they've got a snazzy new Sport Centre downstairs that they can show off every time they go to sport? I wouldnt be surprised if Tony Livesey starts using it during NWT.

Using the Sport Centre during Breakfast will be the most high profile airing of it outside the weekend news bulletins.

Why would they not use every opportunity to show off what they've spent the lisence fee on?

Moving Sport to Salford was a brilliant idea, moving Breakfast... no.

Any word of when Chris leaves? I don't know whether it would be more appropriate for him to leave before or after Sian does.

Yes, but Breakfast is meant to be a bit more of a light-hearted magazine news programme. It is difficult to have the chatty atmosphere and the banter when Mike or Sally are in the sports studio and not the Breakfast studio. It's nice to see them sitting together on the sofa.

Indeed, and I think that will also be the case with North West Tonight (and also for logistical reasons - the studio will be in use on the News Channel when sport is being done on NWT).

Agreed and also the sports studio would require extra crewing, albeit a smaller scale, plus lighting expenses etc. . Don't also forget when studios are off air maintenance can be built in to their downtime.

Breakfast using the studio also adds in the complexity of a sports bulletin on BBC1 (Breakfast) and BBC News Channel at the 08:33 each weekday morning.

Surely it makes no difference? Each are leaving because they would rather stay in London where they have family/commitments. It's interesting that Chris has been doing plenty of other non sport work to help his profile. I wish them all Breakfast staff well whatever decisions they take. I did he same thing nearly years ago and it was a tough decision at the time even without family.

I don't mean anything personal at all. I simply mean for the very big changes ahead in the programme, both location and staff wise, what time would be least disruptive for the viewer, given they're losing Sian who is very well liked and will be missed among other behind-the-scenes staff. I don't mean for people to overread my comments.
