Vernon Kay and Charlotte Gane.

Vernon Kay? He'd have to be in an hour earlier than everyone else so that make-up can layer on all that fake tan!

Minor faux pas on the sofa this morning while discussing the remake of comedy 'Only Fools & Horses' in the US.

The difference in acceptable language was evidenced by the American comedian, whose use of the word 'w@anker' at 08:27, was rapidly followed by an apology by Bill Turnbull & Sian Williams.

The dangers of live TV . . . Wink

Breakfast seems to have a few of these blunders, unlike Sunrise and Daybreak, ... (awaits both to have one tomorrow)

They do seem to get quite a few swearing blunders on the last 45 minutes of Breakfast recently. What I don't really get, and I'm sure many of you will disagree, is the very stern "no that is a swear word" mum telling off style response....from Sian especially. It totally throws the guest off ease (regardless of whether it's wrong or not) and evidently it kind of disrupted the start of the interview. Would it not be better to atleast make light of it and joke about having a swear box and then apologise for the swearing. We all know it's not the BBC's fault.

I just think they are perhaps a bit too straight laced and quick to react and it could be handled better. I'm sure the vast majority of us wouldn't be offended in the slightest in that context and it would avoid an uncomfortable situation.

I'm sure on BBC Radio 1 they are similar in that a guest is warned once and then if they continue they no longer take part in the programme. I maybe wrong though. It all stems from the Radio 2 debarcle though I'm sure.

That is all well and good and I agree with that but in first instance I just think the presenters seem to go abit OTT.
