Possibly the first time Naga has presented with Bill?

I think they did a bank holiday a couple of years ago and I think as a fill in for Kate when she was ill.

Last time it happened was August 2009 - she's done three other programs with him before.

I'd be very interested to see if Naga or Kate present when the programme moves to Salford, with Kate only being relief, and Naga only working alternate weeks on WN it is a possibility if they are willing to make the trip north.

Perhaps for planned cover, but I'd guess they'll need someone closer by for last-minute shifts?

Perhaps that's why we've seen Sally Nugent doing it for the past few days then, since she will be probably moving with Sport to Salford. She is a Northern girl after all. She grew up round my neck of the woods actually.

Sally is welcome anytime, as is Naga. As for Kate, she need not bother returning to Breakfast again.

Surely too they'll consider Ranvir from NWT as cover when they can't get anyone else too.

Yes they might consider Ranvir Singh as cover when they can't get anyone else... and then they'll decide to do it single headed with whoever else they've got.

Subtle and I agree entirely. Of late, she has become very arrogant, smarmy and up herself. Works better when she is alone, although her on-screen rapport with Roger seenma to be improving. I think Ranvir's future lies with NWT or Five Live really, not Breakfast. She is not overly endearing or likeable for morning television.

I agree with the praise for Sally. She has proven that she is more than capable, and not just suitable for sports presentation. It's started to make me doubt Susanna's capabilities when she gets the main job.

Shouldn't we be finding out about the rota at least at the end of this month?

I don't know whay you're all complaining about Kate. I know I myself used to joke about her being bad, but I actually WAS joking.

She isn't bad at all and she fits Breakfast perfectly well. In fact, contrary to my previous jokes, she was quite good on BBC World for the short stint she did (GMT).

Hmmm... I'm somewhat nonplussed about Kate Silverton. If she never came back off her maternity leave i wouldnt really be that bothered.

However, I do believe I will NEVER WATCH BREAKFAST EVER AGAIN once Louise Minchin is wheeled in as host, the combination of her and Mr Stayt in the mornings will more likely leave me making a claim on my TV Warranty and requiring the skills of a Glazier... or I may watch Daybreak... Shocked

...who am I kidding I'll never watch Daybreak.

I don't get the dislike of Kate Silverton - I think she suits her usual roles (News at One, Breakfast) very well, and did GMT fairly well too. Not News at Six/News at Ten material though.

I disagree with anyone who says she is full of herself as has been said in the past, take a look on her Twitter and you'll see she's a very nice, quite normal person, just like Louise Minchin and others.

I don't get all the Kate hate either.

I don't hate Louise Minchin she's a superb News presenter, but I cannot watch her for very long. I'm just a miserable sod who gets annoyed when people are too happy.

So she's suitable for one of George Aligyah's programmes but not another? Confused
