Well I think the relaunch has been fairly successful but it needs a tweak here and there. Not a fan of the black clock, and the background is better but the studio feels cold and functional rather than warm and welcoming.

And congrats on Sian's baby!!

By the wat, I have noticed that when handing over to regions, the music carries on until, the crossover to regions has been completed, unlike previously when the music actually finished, before handing over.

Does this happen when the programme closes?
Does anybody have the video, of the closing of Breakfast, please?

You'll be able to see it on your television set at approximately 0915 tomorrow morning.

If you aren't near a television you can always record it, or catch it live on the BBC One website.

I could catch it at 09:15, but unfortunatly I am at school, learning things at 09:15 today. Infact at that precise time, I was in maths, learning about probability.

You'll just have to wait until Easter then, won't you.

Yeah, I most probaly will wait. I break up on the 3rd April anyway. Cheers

Background still remains unchanged in N6 at weekends. Rolling Eyes The graphics however, are being used.

A bit of a mish mash ending there to Breakfast. They just ran the normal titles, with the closing music, but the music was too short for the actual titles, leaving a bit of a dodgy ending

I think we all expected this to be the case. Still, it seems a shame: the new weekday backdrop would work well enough in N6 and, although they 'd be sitting in front of a different part, would still give a bit more continuity to the show.

Is there a reason why they can't use TC7? Excuse my ignorance if this is common knowledge.

its more expensive. bigger full size studio requires more power, more staff, more lights etc

You mean that the music remains under the very beginning of the regional insert? Wonder how they're managing that?

And the fact the News Channel doesn't cut away on the weekends, so there is no need for two studios to be used.

The News Channel doesn't cut away because it can't - Breakfast is using N6. In the week the NC cuts away at 0830 because Breakfast comes from TC7. Saturdays are worse than Sundays because you have to wait until 1000 for the NC.
