I know it's the festive season, but was it really necessary to air the Bake Off feature during the NC simulcast?

This morning it was shown during the bit that was exclusive to the News Channel!

It was also shown at 08:45 so that it played out on BBC1 followed by a round up of performances they've had on the show this week.

It was also on before 7 and at 7 was mentioned as coming up in the next hour, I assumed it was replacing click and other fillers

Might have done. I believe this weeks and next weeks episodes of Clicks are review of the year/highlights - perhaps not suitable for reducing down to 15 minutes or whatever the actual duration is.

That's one thing that annoys me with Breakfast at weekends, the way they treat every hour seperately.

So they do a light feature at say 8:50am and then straight after in the headlines at 9am they promote how they are going to be doing the same feature again during the next hour.

I'm sure it'd be better to just not mention it again until maybe the half past headlines.

Ah, lovely scenes there on Breakfast. Thanks, Chie.

The only thing missing was one William Turnbull.

I see they didn't stick a taped programme on at 8.30am like usual on Christmas Day

The recorded programme ('Five Minutes With') went out at 7.30am.

In past years they've had recorded programmes at 6.30am, 7.30am and 8.30am IIRC

It looks like Darren Bett was doing the weather from N6 this morning, is that usual for Weekend Breakfast?

Usually for Weekend Breakfast the weather comes from the weather studio, however on bank holidays, IIRC, it always comes from N6.

Indeed they have. Was really nice to have a full hour at 08:00 this morning and nice to see a festive studio too.
