There's nothing to say that Breakfast and NWT will share a set!

But it has been hinted at by a number of people online. It would make no sense for them to have separate sets anyway.

I don't know how far finished this is, how it'll look when it's all completed and lit but at the moment it looks rather dull and unimaginative. Can't imagine this being suitable for Breakfast!

Hopefully this either isn't the studio, or there's still a lot of work to do.

It does look a bit dull, but you have to remember that in that image the studio is only lit with house lighting. Once the proper TV lighting is switched on and the screens are filled with background images I'm sure it will look like any other BBC News set in London.

Yes, I see where you're coming from. It's the big pillars and small window areas that have disappointed me and the whole thing looks very grey. We'll soon see more I'm sure Smile

It would make plenty of sense - so that the smaller studio they're using for Breakfast opts can replicate a small part of the main NWT set so they can cut between that studio and Breakfast without it looking wrong.

Did anybody catch Breakfast this morning?

Has Sian Williams had a touch of botox over the weekend?

Her lips looked very strange indeed. Stiff, even

Yes, I know that - I'm just saying the studio doesn't look particularly appealing in it's current state.

It looks like that bright white light coming from the left (outside of frame) and over the top of the set is daylight.

Fair enough, no offence intended.

Must say, I'm not sure I like it, having gotten used to the full Barco wall set up.

But then I wasn't keen on that when I saw it at first either.
