Or Points of View (is that still a thing?)
Await the bods at the Beeb to quash any complaint in a condescending manner:
"The changes at BBC Breakfast last month were to enable the content to be more lively and up-to-date, and resonate with our younger audiences. The move from computer generated title images in what is now a 30 year old+ presentation style to a faster, punchier introduction sequence show off BBC Breakfast's home at Salford Quays and demonstrate the corporation's commitment to moving away from being seen as London-centric. While not all viewers will appreciate the style it's hoped the change to the grip and pace of the programme will be loved by other viewers and enhance our cohesion with audiences - who remain, as ever, at the heart of everything we do. It's here to stay, and we aren't changing it." - Neil Reid, W1A Current Controller of News and Current Affairs
(Other variations of corporate waffle available, but that sounds very W1A enough to be real!)

Or to put it another way:
"I'm not being funny or anything but the fact is this [refresh] is about identifying what we do best and finding more ways of doing less of it better. Yeah no yeah cool totally yeah cool."

Just one question, is this a joke right? Why did they bother? They have hardly changed anything at all. At least when Good Morning Britain moved to Television Centre they upgraded their look, whilst keeping some usual features, but this is just pure lazy.
BBC Breakfast is the number one rated breakfast show in the UK at the moment, and this is what they give as a "refresh". Pathetic.

The previous titles resembled a disco ball.

Wasn't it actually for the sunrise? I always thought the disco-ball was to represent the sun in some sort of way.
What was the disco ball your all referencing?

I know it's been pointed out already but it's very odd / lazy that they've not "deleted" the disco ball strips in the set backdrop. Fine that you don't give us a new backdrop but at least bring it into line with the new stings / orange sunrise.
I actually quite like the new intro and the music but disappointed that they're just stings.

Yeah, they look nice to me (easily beats the disco ball, always thought it was an animation of nothingness). A slightly longer version would be good though. I wonder if more versions have been recorded based on the time of year (e.g like the shot below)
Only complaint is that we’ve gone from an awkward couple of seconds of the presenters at the top of the programme, to a title sequence that doesn’t immediately start. It’s the same bugbear I have when a live programme starts with a blatantly pre-recorded into. Could the titles not start early so that when BBC One cut to it, it’s already in motion?
