Rewinding on iPlayer, she did appear to do the whole bulletin, including waiting while the weather was meant to be playing.

What set is that? It has a very N6 2002 vibe:

It's the South East Today soft set https://identcentral.co.uk/news-presentation/bbc-regional-news/bbc-south-east-today/bbc-south-east-today-2014/

So I wonder who thought that Steph’s report this morning wasn’t good enough, it needed something else, such as her walking through a free standing door at the start of every section.

It was a bit Watchdog wasn’t it? Not sure what the door added.

Them lugging around a door must have slowed down filming... all to seemingly speed up the transitions in the final package.

Steph claimed it helped transition between scenes/locations.

Naga's been on her own as Charlie is in Westminster.

However for the interview with Jeff Goldblum, Mike's joined her in the second presenter seat and Matt Taylor is also on the sofa for it.

I thought Matt was in London not Salford. Eitherway it's quite nice as they're all getting involved and asking him questions.

Matt has been appearing in Salford a few times recently. Equally Simon (5 Live and News Channel) has been in London.

Oddly hilarious graphics mix up this morning during a DTL with Chris Mason, who was needlessly standing outside an empty Palace of Westminster on a cold December morning at 6am.

Instead of his graphic about the Brexit vote timeline , we were treated to a preview of the 3 screens behind the presenters for the next item (rather unfortunately labelled 'WHO CARES' ) and then the weather presenter's background picture:

This is how the 3 background screens were shown for the feature they belonged to . . .

Breakfast fell off air on BBC One briefly just after 7am, they switched to the signed News Channel feed temporarily after a minute or so. On the upside we did get to see a festive breakdown slide!

That was seen on Network and Scotland:

While Wales used the usual breakdown slide and Northern Ireland got this GMTV style slide: *
