During the week they normally introduce the next programme on BBC One, so weekends are the only time we see a proper closing sequence. Here is the new one, which is better than the opening "titles". Shocked

Agreed. They actually give the sting / music a bit more time to "breathe" and play out at the end.

I really do think that new music is nothing special. Nowhere near as nice as the 2000/2002 versions - and in my opinion, the music it has replaced!

I agree with this - I've never really been a fan of the added strings to the main BBC News theme and personally I don't think they work well here either.

I totally agree - I think the added strings have just made the BBC News themes overly fussy. I'm not a great fan of any of the music since 2013 if I'm honest.

With a more up-beat end to the theme, or fade into the headline bed, that could be a proper title sequence. Cool

Says it all when a hospital corridor provides a better set for Breakfast than its permanent studio.

Ha ha! 😂

Glad they used the new titles over an outside shot though. Shows how versatile it is - much more so than the main BBC News titles.

This morning's entirely OB edition was a "cringe-worthy car crash" to watch. Shocked

A hospital corridor may well provide a better looking set than their studio in Salford, but the programme was beset with technical difficulties and the acoustics of such a location were dreadful.

Both Steph and Naga had difficulties with the autocue, and the delay during the DTLs made the interviews barely comprehensible.

Why did they go to Jimmys?

Why didn't they use either Royal Salford (formerly known as Hope Hospital), or, even better, Trafford General, which was originally used as the backdrop to the start of the NHS.

Why not go to Leeds? Just because they are based in Salford? It's a Breakfast show for the whole of the UK they don't have to just take the easy option.

You could go one step further and ask, why not go to Glasgow or Swansea.
