its a shame this poll didnt have an option for "Scrap Breakfast" in addition to the choice between Bill and Sian and Dermot and Natasha.

Get rid of it, it's sh*te!!

Let BBC1 broadcast this "magazine" drivvle, and give us News 24 addicts a direct feed from BBC World, like 0100-0600

Have to agree. Scale down breakfast to BBC One. Have N24 broadcast The excellent World Today. It is a bit silly having two channels braodcasting something which UK viewers can already receive by switching to 1. News 24 could use this slot to really estabilsh itself, rather than relying upon the general BBC News feed. Anyway im sure we could all live within our daily fix of Ms Kaplinksy and Murhanan on N24. However Moira, now thats another story. Give the poor women something she can get her teeth into. Somethibg like a N24 early bulletin. I always finds she looks bored playing second fiddle to the Stricly Can't Read an autocue women. Moira is so much better.
Anyway before the Anti-Attack Natasha wing lauches itself upon my post may I just add that she is always better on her own, I just find she simply doesn't suit early mornings.

News 24 would never broadcast the European Breakfast programming from BBC World, as it would be competition for Breakfast. The last thing they want to do is split their audience!

Yeah but surly you can see the need for variety. The only thing different about N24 in the morning is we get to see BBC London in place of our regional insert. I really do feel News 24 should try something different, and why can't Breakfast be put under a little more pressure, and lets not forget they do have the Newscaster of the year!

Very unsound argument, Robert.

Better to be your own competition than somebody else's.

A World feed would not draw viewers away from Breakfast. If anything, it would draw them away from Sky News/CNN/CNBC.

Breakfast would still be there, and still readily accessible to all. Nobody is going to miss out so the audience aren't going to go anywhere. Indeed, as Breakfast isn't allowed to count viewers from News 24 in its figures on BBC One, the migration from N24 > ONE would probably increase its viewers.

And South Today i agree, apart from Sians little annoyances, her and Jane Hill are the best female news anchors BBC News have

Are you taking the p***!!!!! Moira, Fiona and Natasha are the best BBC female newsreaders without a doubt.

Yes, well just because you think the sun shines out of Natasha's arse, doesn't mean she is the best newsreader since Sue Lawley. Good as though she is, i would rate lower BBC News anchors higher than Ms Kaplinsky.

EDIT - And just because certain presenters haven't been given awards doesn't mean they aren't good.

Has the *adorbale* Ms Kaplinsky ever won News presenter of the year? No. It really is quite embarrasing some mornings watching her stumble over words.

No she hasn't yet, but she will you mark my words. Also, she doesn't make that many mistakes compared to some of other Newsreaders.

Like who? She is one of the worst BBC news casters for stumbling over words. Sian, Jane, nor Fiona do it as regularly as Ms Kaplinsky.

Her at Sky is quite crap mind you for saying something wrong.

OK, so why did she win the award of Newscaster of the Year 2005 if she's as bad as you say Rolling Eyes ?

As it has been said in another thread - everyone is entitled to their own oppionion. I don't rate her as a news caster.
