What time did Breakfast finish? I only ask because i see Matthew and Phillipa starting at 11am this morning in News 24, prompting me to ask whether Kate and Simon started ar 8.30. I thought that Breakfast was in the News 24 studio, so how would this happen?

It finished at 9 with Bill saying goodbye to Mishal.

which means that Kate and Simon were on for just 2 hours. Whats the point of that?

BBC N24 2005
It was Kate and Tim this morning. They only did 1 1/2 hours because BBC News 24 showed a 'documentary' thing about Daniel Banemboim (sp?)

May I just ask two things, as i am quite new, but, will the "beeps" be staying and are the circles coming back (i.e the BBC N24 Ads - every half hour - have the circles)

Can't help wondering about the clock/tower.....when there are simulcasts on nationals/N24 then the clock is still there if slightly modified and there is also ticker etc. What I'm trying to say is that if any major changes are made to graphics etc tomorrow and they're not being made to N24 then how will they be able to offer consistncy through name straps/astons etc that run into it?

Really hope it doesn't go this way but I can see that lots of mismatches are afoot like when we had the cream titles and red + white set matched with some mocked up graphics on the projection screens. Really hated that period but lets just hope they've thought of everything this time!

I've emailed North West Tonight to enquire about changes to the regional sets/titlesto be in line with tomorrows changes. I suppose I should've waited to see the extent of the changes tomorrow but I couldn't help myself, I got a bit giddy!

Like Breakfast's current graphics (astons, supers etc) they've been made with News 24 in mind, hench why they can be shown on News 24 and resemble the one's already on the channel. I should expect this would be a prime concern when redesigning the graphics.

The regions are not changing at the present time.

New look now on the Breakfast website

Quote:
Eventually, the design team settled on the sky above one of the BBC's own buildings beside Television Centre in London.

"We took 360 still photographs and then, using computer graphics, we've mixed them and put them on a loop," says Bill.

Those images are then projected onto a 90 foot wall in the new Breakfast studio.

Wow - that's quite a set... Though I'm not sure how "breakfasty" it is... Mind you - plenty would have said the last one wasn't particularly "breakfasty" either.
