Well at least she's not leaving altogether. Should be good to see her back on the main network bulletins again.

Indeed it will.

I noticed her 'Morning to You' catchphrase returned today. I wonder if she'd been told to drop it.

Anyway, good luck to Moira. Mornings won't be the same again!

She probably stopped using it because everyone else (particularly Sian) keeps nicking it! It should be copyrighted!

If anyone noticed, I think it was Chris Hollins, who asked "who's going to be doing Moira's job?" to which Sian replied "we are!" ...

It will be good to see the new sets in action next week.

Moira, or should I say BIG MOIRA , you will be sorely missed.

I think it was actually Bill who asked the question. Presumably Mishal was not available to be on the sofa aswell.

sorry to see Moira go.....was nice to see her on the sofa and she was able to be herself - what a big personality she's got - she should've been a main presenter if you ask me on the Fri, Sat slot. Oh well it's the Beeb's loss.

Great to see Sian's got the main presenting job - imho another presenter who's been under used. Good luck to her on getting the main presenting job - shame she's going on maternity leave - bet the bosses didn't see that one coming (or sian for that matter) Wink

It says that Moira will present the weekend bulletins on Saturdays!

Just like the good old Saturdays of the 90s.

Did I read somewhere that tomorrow is Mishel's last day before she disappears to pop the pair out?

...which must surely mean a return for Susanna Reid to the sofa for weekends and to bolster News 24 cover during the week?

I will really miss Moira.
She is a fantastic newsreader.

On the other hand, I am looking forward to see the new Breakfast. Can anyone capture the pics and videos on that day as I am living in Hong Kong. Thanks.

Greetings - have been viewing the forums for quite a while & have summonned up the "courage" to contribute. Not in the industry, but have a keen interest in TV presentation, in particular News & CA - the Forums have been a great source of info & gossip (am one of the few Joe Public's who do notice the differences!).

Am looking forward to all the changes, just hope it doesn't end up looking 'cheap & cheerful' (like the've done to the Look North set in Leeds). Will have to set the vid on Tuesday!

Will greatly miss Moira during the week - I can remember when she used to be a Radio Newsreader - it will definately be Auntie's loss.

Welcome aboard Steery,
I will miss Moira on Breakfast..but look forward to seeing her on Saturday bulletins. I always thought she was fantastic during the late eighties with the Six O'Clock News and the Nine O'Clock News; she is the jewel of the BBC News department.
