Martin Popplewell was presenting on both Sky and News 24 a couple of years back, and Chris Rogers was doing overnights on Sky News while also reading the news on the ITVNC during the day. Just one of the 'perks' of being a freelancer i suppose

Sorry if this has already been poster, couldn't see it, bit it's a rather interesting aricle about Sian's pregnancy and her affair with a 56 year old BBC Exec...

Well I'm not one for tabloid trash, but I have to say I'm shocked. She's outdone Kaplinsky for sure, but it's her life, her choices. Have to say though, fifty-six is just criminal to have a child IMO. When her kid's fourteen his/her dad'll be seventy. Anyway, does this fiasco explain Miss Williams' abscence this week? Hope to see her back though, she's a lovely presenter.

Nice to see Moira's "Morning to you" catchphrase back in use at 8:30 this morning... Did she decide to stop using it so much or was she told not to use it so much?

I know its off topic, but you are quoting a friend of mine in your sig. That line was uttered by Alex Macavoy in "The Wall" wasn't it?

He taught me yoga, you know.

A really interesting programme yesterday with Jules Botfield at Longleat. It reminded me heavily of the National Trust property that Nicky Chapman would visit on a Friday around two years ago in the summer. It was great to see Jules back and handled the feature incredibly well showing how she is good for presenting.

I agree, that was a really good part of the show, much better than the usual 'oh lets get someone in to talk about our latest documentary/soap/you get the idea with the self promotion'.

All the links to the other bits of the show were really smooth as well, so all in all, a good 30-40 minutes worth.

Someone forget to tell the regions the opt-in time, or did someone get it wrong - both BBC Scotland and BBC NI ended their last Breakfast bulletin - at least 20 seconds too early - with the presenters left on air, until the opt back to London for the Breakfast closing titles.

Same in London im afraid. Matt Barbet was left nearly fumbling with the weather and saying how he was going to be back at half past one, when in fact he was on again at 12.40pm!

The same happened on Look North (NE&C). After going to the closing wide-shot of the studio, they returned to Colin Briggs who said something about the wrong weather forecast having just been played which left them finishing early.

Indeed Chris Fawkes' weather forecast was a national one, not a regional one. Could it be that each region had been supplied with a forecast of the wrong length?

Oh, and another thing... what was going on with the TOG graphics this morning on BBC One? The very bottom of all the graphics was missing, so the bottom of the clock text was flush with the bottom of the tower, and the descenders on y's and g's, etc were cut off.

On News 24, the exact same supers were absolutely fine. Confused
