Also, I see Declan has a 'bizblog' now - Declan's Biz Blog

is that his?

No - unless Declan also writes a blog called "Obey me I is your new dictator".

She's so un-BBC it's quite untrue, though.

Couldn't agree more! The accent, the clothes, it's just great to see on a morning. Who cares if that article which described her as a manipulative monster is true, I think she's a breath of fresh air (despite being around for a while).
How did her big role at BBC News start, was it last year when she filled in for Jane Hill? If so, how did she move from entertainment shows to News 24? Past experience or good agent?

I'm surprised it hasn't been commented upon, but did anyone notice lovely-seeming bespectacled travel girl Kate reading the main BBC London bulletins until 7am on Wednesday? Presumably the regular newsreader slept in or something.

Kate did a generally fine job, although there did appear to be mild terror behind her eyes and she finished her news a good 10 seconds before the opt-out ended, leaving her looking silently down at her script.

Sorry if this has already been poster, couldn't see it, bit it's a rather interesting aricle about Sian's pregnancy and her affair with a 56 year old BBC Exec...

Eugh. What does this have to do with television news presentation?

God, I'm sick of wading through trashy stories in newspapers, on television and on websites about celebrities and public personalities and how they've been having affairs, getting their boobs done, taking the dog for a walk or scratching their cracks as they get into their cars outside their houses. I make a conscious decision not to buy invasive craprags like Heat and its many equally poor imitators because it's frankly none of my business - or pretty much anybody else's - what these people do in their spare time when they're not doing the jobs they're paid for.

I would have liked to be spared this kind of utter sh!te here on TV Forum as well, but clearly - given the frankly disturbing fixations over which weather presenters are pregnant and the obsessive speculations that occur when a BBC News presenter isn't seen for more than two days - it's too much to ask for the majority of members to be able to seperate these persons' personal lives from their professional ones.

It's truly sad that so many people feel it necessary to live vicariously through the intricacies of these presenters' extracurricular activities.

Charlie's first morning on Breakfast today alongside Kate, doing an excellent job, a refreshing change. Matt Taylor doing the weather (presumably now a permenant weekend fixture, a la Mike Bushell on the sport)

Yes it was a real Channel five reunion this morning with Charlie, Ben Ando and Chris Hollings.

I thought Charlie was a good strong presenter for Breakfast and definitely suited to the weekend 'newsier' Breakfast. I'm not sure if he would be much good on the sofa though.

He seemed quite self-conscious this morning. Don't know whether it's just me but he didn't get involved much with much of the banter.

Wasn't just you - i felt the same.

Dosen't Mike Bushell like a chat??! If it was up to him i think they would be there for ever with him going on - he never seems to get much of a response though which is quite funny! He certainly wasn't getting much response from Charlie this morning - i think he was a bit nervous.

By the way when did he last present on Sky News? Must be quite rare for someone to present on Sky News then on News 24 just a couple of days later!
