I would be very surprised if it was Kirsty Young.
Considering all the comments she made when she returned to Five News from ITN, she would need to eat her words if she left YET AGAIN for a bigger gig on another channel.

After Nicky's original hint and then the post quoted above the following names were mentioned so all speculation of others can be forgotten about
Rob Butler - although he has already been discounted
Nina Hossain
John Nicholson - But Nicky says it's a face we haven't seen on Breakfast before so this should rule out John and Nina
So by elimination that leaves the following and I doubt it will be either of the first two and Charlie Stayt is getting his feet under the table at Sky now but that doesn't mean it can't be him

I personally wouldn't be surprised to see Lucy Alexander pop up there - all London presenters seem to go on to bigger and better things, just look as Kaplinsky, Hossain, Maitliss etc.

Dermot Murnaghan did. Before Breakfast he was in line to succeed Trevor.
They're not a new full time presenter - don't get over excited. Just a new face that you've not seen on Breakfast before

Katie does not present full time because she has just had a baby, and any even if Nina presented 2 days a week it would still be an improvement on her 1 day presenting the Lunchtime and Evening News, and her 2 minutes on screen other days. I would like to say that i don't think it will be either of them either, mainly because, they both seem quite at home at ITN, and if there was a major defection something would have been mentioned. All i am saying is that you can not view Breakfast as a demotion from ITV, it depends how much they would have been offered.

Hasnt this run and run - a bit like the after effects of a curry.
The wonderful katie Ledger perhaps, a little star on Five and ITVNC or even Charlie Stayt who has been off the tv too much recently . I cant believe these talented presenters are cooling their heels while other talentess anchors are fronting the bbc & itv news.
How about lara lewington , she'd add some class to the show and it'd be like old times hearing a chirpy sarf london accent , just like when korblimesky was presenting it.
Kirsty youngs a definite no no , shes busy wiping up the sick and p** early in the morning rather than presenting it on breakfast.
