Nice use of a reporter for the TOTH this morning. Declan Curry reporting on the Shell profits though he did end up saying at 08.00 - 'and that's our main story on Thursday February 2nd of February'.

Its half-term next week (isn't it?), and according to RT, Michael Peschardt will present Breakfast all week (Mon-Thurs with Sian, Fri with Mishal).

It will be nice to have Mike back on Breakfast - I recall every summer when he used to come over from Austrailia to present.

Yes it will be nice to get Michael Peschardt back - I missed him last summer as Simon McCoy had since been presenting so there was no need for him.
IIRC it was three years ago during the February Half Term when Jon Sopel first began presenting as well.

True, but like Michael Peschardt, Jon had often presented before, doing the One Six and Breakfast News in the late nineties and presenting with Sophie and Sian on Breakfast before then.

Just be thankful its Michael PESCHARDT and not BUERK!

Burke was fab with Natasha back in Summer 03, apart from those glances he gave her!

Bill and Dermot must both be off for Half Term this time - normally they make Bill work and give Dermot the week off!

It will be nice to see Peschardt back on Breakfast again, I always thought he was very good when he used to come back from Australia to present during the summer. I wonder if either Dermot or Bill are off for a number of weeks - it seems odd to get him over here just to present one week of Breakfast.

Don't forget that Dermot is sitting in for George on the six at the moment. So if George is still off next week either Dermot or Bill will be covering there.

According to RT, George is back on the Six all next week. So if Dermot and Bill are both on holidays, why is Simon McCoy not covering? What's the point of having him if they don't use him? He is a legend after all . . .
