I thought Bill Turnbull did a good job on Christmas Day again as did Simon McCoy on Boxing Day, all though he did get carried away with the weather and Carol Kirkwood, with him being unable to speak properly after laughing so much. I think that this is the only problem with Simon - he does get too carried away at times and, being on his own, there was no-one else to push the programme along.
It was quite funny when Simon did the weather at 8.55 all though why he did it I'm not too sure.

Why oh *why* is that awful website DOG being used this morning. I know the proper one's working, I saw it animate on.

I quite liked the static tower to be honest, even though I had no idea what the time was. It has been used in the past before and I'd expect it is something to do with the presentation department and the studio inputting the symbol - like during the World/N24 simulcast over night.

No the person at the circus was Susannah Streeter, Breakfast's business reporter, who was drafted in to replace Max Foster.
Natasha Kaplinsky is on a six month break presenting the Six whilst Sophie Raworth is on maternity leave. Natasha should be back in April or May.

Yes I *know* that dear, I was commenting that one of the circus acts looked like Kraplinsky.

This morning on BBC One, with Breakfast from the N24 studio with the BBC News tower, the bottom of the tower seems to be cropped off. It finishes immediately below the clock text.

Bit like this...

Over on N24 the tower is at it's full size.

Is this so that N24 can add a ticker without it being on BBC One? (Though there was no ticker on either when I saw it.)

I noticed that as well. It wasn't just the tower though; the astons were cropped as well. Perhaps BBC One is experiencing technical problems with the N24 graphics lately because yesterday morning there was the static tower and then this morning we have a cropped one.

I beleive that the generic "BBC News" graphics are still part of the previous package, before they were updated on News 24 with the "Improved" ticker etc and as such don't fit with the N24 appearance.

Well I've never noticed this happening before this morning and the improved ticker etc has been on N24 for ages.

Mishal on her lonesome in the studio this morning

How long have they been having a solo presenter in the studio from 6 til 7?

Edit: Anyone noticed how they're putting the trees up this year, using the N24 small glass tables. Cheapskates.

Was there not supposed to be an appearance put in by the fab sofas this year?

they've done that since they changed "weekend 24" to being a 9-10 slot with the duty presenter and the second brekkie presenter
