Keep it up team. Just goes to show that Kaplinsky is not the be all and end all of the programme.

Absolutely. I really don't see what they think she adds to the programme. It's blantantly better when she's not there. I don't understand why BBC bosses haven't noticed that after all this time.

ive got to agree with all of the above. Todays breakfast was really relaxed.

Everyone seems to be relaxed when its the original News24 line up. Moira did her first Breakfast stint on News 24, if any of you remember...... (that awful one with Fergus Walsh), Bill and Sian are News 24 graduates with honours. Chris Hollins has just got his break on a National permanent fixture, Paddy used to do the News 24 Nine O Clock News Business section for 5 minutes, even Helen Willetts started out on News 24 i think?

The so called 'big guns', Derm and Twinkletoes behave as if they're too big for the programme, and have effortlessly slided into Six and Ten. If the Brekkie execs have any sense they'll keep this team together (apart from Declan..... Keep him! )

From BBCW's description I think this might be the time to start watching Breakfast again .

I hope it is going to improve with a different line up on there , it should do with the old rubbish out of the way for six months. Maybe by then the bbc can see who is good and who is not.

Interesting to see Paddy O'Connell at the Stock Exchange this morning.

Yesterday's was also excellent. Moira really is at ease in her handovers to Chris Hollins and Paddy O'Connell. She has been great this week, as have Bill and Sian.

Alas, I am now back to the Middle East so won't get to see it all for a while!! Just wish they would simulcast on World for one hour.

Dermot and Natasha were far far far better on the Six, than they have ever been on Breakfast. Dermot strikes me as too cardboard and serious for a sofa based programme. They are better than George and Sophie, who seem a bit of a mis match.

Just wanted to say how much i'm enjoying suzanne virdee on thursday and friday mornings. I believe she would be an excellent long term successor to Moira Stewart. However, does this mean Louisa Preston will not be back on breakfast?

We live in hope.

Suzanne is a very creditable rising star within BBC News. She has clearly demonstrated herself on Midlands Today and would undoubtedly be missed if she were poached... Although the thought of Dennis Lewis, one shudders to think.

This programme is now completely diabolical, and needs axing from the News 24 schedule. Unfortunately I can't see this happening as the BBC can't afford to do this.

This morning I caught a brief glimpse of Bill Turnbull - a very good presenter & correspondant who's been turned into a laughing stock - exercising his dog in the garden. This was apparently ahead of a spot on dog training. Whether this went out on News 24 or not I don't know, but if it did that would have been absurd. This on top of the Come Dancing rubbish and his wittering about bees, really is the final straw. I can't believe he's doing all this through choice, there must be some knob in BBC News making him do it to cater for the X Factor viewers who glaze over at the first mention of the word 'news'.

No wonder that News 24 starts well behind Sky in the viewer stakes and grows throughout the day - for the first 3 hours after 6am, there IS no news on News 24, just some stupid magazine programme which makes Look East seem like Panorama!

I hope the rumours of Breakfast moving to the N24 set are true, and that the agenda changes to match. Otherwise I think News 24 would be better served by simulcasting BBC World from 6-9.
