On a different note, Natasha has now left for six months so we are to expect Dermot and Sian (Mon-Thurs) and Bill and Kate (Fri-Sun) as regular presenters. Was there any particular farewell on Thursdays programme?

Yes, Dermot gave Natasha a bunch of flowers and a wrapped present (no idea of the contents!), she explained (gushingly) that they were playing 'musical chairs' with her taking over from Sophie on the Six and Sian taking her place.

On this info (and according to the RT it will be Dermot + Sian Mon-Thu will Bill on as usual. Mishal was with him today and is down for Sat + Sun as well as next Fri: not sure if she is the permanent weekend replacement though.

Mishal was great on Breakfast this morning - she seems to get on really well with Bill. Mishal has come on leaps and bounds, in terms of Breakfast, anyway.

Yeah I agree, at first I thought she was a bit cold but now she and Bill seem to enjoy each other's company and have a laugh.

Thanks

Mishal is on now - she seems much better than last time.

Yes, that does make sense to have Mishal on board for Breakfast as Kate coming off N24 reguarly would cause problems for them.

We will miss Mishal over on World though. You guys on Breakfast are lucky.

Nice to see Paddy O'Connell standing in for Declan on the business this morning. He managed to do it with typical wry humour... including a baked bean tasting session. He also even got the honour of a brief two-way with Moira at 8am!

Bill and Sian also seemed on form as well this morning. All in all, it was worth getting up for today.

Very much agreed. It was "refreshing" to have Paddy stand-in, very much reminded me of when he used to be the New York business presenter although by the time he got to News 24 he seemed a little "off-guard". Bill and Sian back to form this morning and definatly more of a couple than the usual episode we are treated to.

It was good this morning wasnt it! Bill and Sian really seemed to be having fun - Bill's dancing on saturday being discussed and laughed at and also Sian wrestling Bill for one of the newspapers! Lets hope it stays like this!

6 Glourious months.

They say the gift of life is a deeply spiritual event, I wonder if Maternity Leave comes under that assumption?

Yes it was a much more enjoyable weekday Breakfast and I hope it stays like this for the forseeable future. I also thought Paddy did well on the business all though he did come across as shouting a bit.

I am so glad that I was in the Uk today, and hence able to watch Breakfast. The banter during the Breakfast Briefing between Moira and Patrick O'Connell was excellent, and I loved the way she described him as the "super smoothie Paddy O'Connell" when he handed back to her at 0622hrs.

Chris Hollins was, by this time, alongside Moira on the sofa for the Sports News, and he complained " I thought I was your super smoothie, Moira. I am upset", to which, the GREAT ONE replied "No Chris, you are The Hunk!" Both of them then dissolved into fits of laughter when the handed to the regions at 0627.

It was classic Breakfast and the way it should be. Bill and Sian were also great today. They seemed to be at home with each other once more! Classic and a joy to watch.

I also enjoyed Moira interviewing Reeta Chakrabarti on the sofa at 0603hrs, re the Blunkett scandal.

All in all, Breakfast was great today. I did not need to switch over to Sky News even once!!

Keep it up team. Just goes to show that Kaplinsky is not the be all and end all of the programme.
