Did anyone see any talk about Strictly Come Dancing on Breakfast this morning? Rumour has it that Bill's injured, I wondered if it was mentioned at all.

Yes he has injured his ankle after jumping over some boxes. Sian Williams and Sue Thearle were laughing at him for it.
I hope he gets through to the next round though.

It was mentioned extensively on the It Takes Two programme on BBC2 this evening - apparently he's torn a ligament in his ankle, but he's determined to dance despite this. Sian, who was a guest on the show tonight, said that he wouldn't give up, and that he'd probably do it even if it meant really hurting himself.

Like you, I really hope he gets through!

IIRC Rob Bonnet will still present sports bulletins for BBC World, present Extra Time (the sports version of HardTalk), and present the sports news on the nationals over the weekend.

Probably just fancies a break from the early morning starts

I can confirm that this is the case - Rob has been presenting the sports news on BBC World this afternoon. It seems like he's just having a break from the early mornings on BBC Breakfast.

I was disappointed at the rather cold shoulder that Chris Hollins gave Moira at the end of the 0600 Briefing this morning. After stunning her with some unrehearsed ad-libbing about somethinh she clearly knew nothing about, she did a great job in passing it off, and then tried to engage in conversation with him after she handed over to the regions............he just looked away in the other direction and shuffled with some newspapers on his sofa.

Moira didn't know what to do.............she looked awkward and just played with her computer to cover up the awkwardness.

Shame on you, Chris!!!

Good to see Moira doing some 2-ways later on in the programme too, at 0700 and 0800hrs, with Daniela Relph in Florida.

Lynching time.

And theres another joke in there about the quality of news presenting. Get it James?

What happened this morning? I watched the ident into Ceefax on BBC Two, which finished at 05.59.58, switched over to BBC One for the beginning of Breakfast where I was treated to some Capoeira clean (presumably the announcement had all ready gone out) which after three or so seconds cut to black for about five seconds before the start of Breakfast. Moira however started from the top so I'm guessing the problem was in the studio and not with BBC One.

Given my current, umm, ideas I think that gets "Idea of the Week".

But yes, Jake truly is one of the most boring presenters I've seen on TV.

This morning just before going to work i wanted the local travel news at about 7.55am. when it opted out for local news, i think BBC London was down because it went to South East today. the only reason why i think its South East is the weather forecast was mainly Kent areas. Any confirmation of this?

Yes you did get South East Today instead of BBC London. I was watching at 7.25 and got the same! Natalie Graham welcomed viewers from London at the beginning, but that was all that was said!

When does Breakfast move to N24 studio...

and when it does, and as the pod bit isnt being used anymore, Im sure it wouldnt halm tweaking the set for a few days, with a soft set or even just slightly reshaping the perspect cut offs and making a new, more presentable alternative area....

I was led to believe it was February, at a similar time when Anna Ford's contract runs out. I think we can expect no change to the N24 set on the whole but an addition of the sofas into the right hand side and a whole new look for Breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't relaunched totally, with regular promos for the programme, but I do think that as much as I like the current titles, they will be changed as they are still using the radio wave affect from the cream era of BBC News on the titles, not the globe that BBC News has become associated with.

On a different note, Natasha has now left for six months so we are to expect Dermot and Sian (Mon-Thurs) and Bill and Kate (Fri-Sun) as regular presenters. Was there any particular farewell on Thursdays programme?
