I'm always intrigued as to why this woman seems to incite such negative reactions in people. Personally, I could take her or leave her. She's a competent if uninspiring newsreader - moderately attractive, but nothing special. Yet some people truly loathe her. I've always wondered why.


I agree, I can suffer Raworth because I got to like her from her time on Breakfast. I can't however suffer Kaplinsky. She's much better to dislike.

By the way why do I think Kaplinsky is Polish? She seems dreadfully Polish.

Didn't she grow up in Kenya, as per recent Breakfast bulletins?

I think most people hate her, as she's so 'upherself' !

You can forgive the BBC News team for doing Children In Need, as it's in a good cause, but Kaplinsky presenting light entertainment is another matter.

I rewatched the Bruce Forsyth HIGNFY from DVD recently & it was obvious she was sucking up to him IMHO !

why do newly married newsreaders continue to use their maiden name? Why can't Sophie be Sophie Winter and Natasha be Natasha Bower? Do they think we'll not know who they are or are they saving the trouble of reverting back in case all goes pearshaped. It's always puzzled me as it's part of the appeal of being married - and i'd want to get shut of the name Kaplinsky asap !!

For me it's the way she oozes insincerity which I dislike. It just gives me the creeps.
