Has anyone told Simon McCoy he needs a new haircut?

No he doesn't. I like it.

Only because it looks like yours, love. The man's hair looked better when he was at Sky. Just look at the awful parting!

I quite like Simon when he's on News24, he does a solid job. On that Breakfast sofa though, it's another story, he needs to lose a pound or two and stop leering over at the various women presenters and guests..!

She'll be as familiar to some viewers as Gillian was! Wink

Is that a big enough hint? Very Happy

So really it's got to be either Louisa Preston or Riz Latif, then. My guess would be Riz - she seems more like Breakfast material!!

Yeah Riz does seem likely - shes good anyway. Has Gillian left Breakfast then? or is this person just covering?

Gillian has left to present Sky's 2100-0000 slot when it relaunches.

And no its not Riz..... Wink

So therefore it is safe to say that this new person is going to be permanent. All though the name has all ready been mentioned, I would like to see Jules Botfield back in the presenting chair. She was good last time she was on and isn't used enough as a reporter. All though Jules is better than Sarah all round, I'd rather have Sarah doing both of their reports and then Jules reading the summaries.

Could it be Luisa Baldini again?

It's not Natasha is it? Moira going full time? Or could it be a male? We'll find out tomorrow I s'pose.

Well if it's a female BBC London presenter, and it's not Riz Latif, then that really only leaves Louise Preston or ...the one who sometimes does the morning news bulletins. Forgotten her name...

Sarah Campbell? Could be I suppose but shes better at reporting. Alos, whats to say the new presenter is from BBC London? It's more than likely he or she will be but they could come from elsewhere.

of course if it is a male that gives us:-

Matt Barbette
Asad Ahmed
and others.

however, reading between the lines of previous posts, it looks like it will be Louisa Preston.

It's Louisa.

Also, how long is it since a male bottom graced the bulletin reader's chair? Is this another one of those 'positive discrimination' jobs?

Quite possibly. Annoying isnt it?

To answer your question, Max Foster was the last to be in the chair, going all the way back to January, before he left for CNN.

Asad Ahmed is the only person to have held the job permanantly, but he left when Emma Howard was appointed.

ooh, is it that Indian girl who was on earlier this year? They said "welcome to the Breakfast team" then she disappeared.

EDIT: It was Tazeen Ahmad, BBC 3 News

Tazeen didn't exactly disappear, she was heavily pregnant when she did her Breakfast presenting shifts, and is now on maternity leave after the birth of her son.

Tazeen appeared on BBC Three News a little while ago with her son to talk about pregnancy, but I have no idea when she will be back presenting for BBC Three.
