Interestingly, Sian is presenting both Breakfast and the 6 all week this week - some long days for her.

Do you think they'll let her go home after 9.30 until, say one in the afternoon?

Hi Nicky

Your last comment above means that he or she is either a regional presenter or a BBC World presenter, hence the allusion to the limited audience that "some of us" will know her.

Is it, by any cahnce, the superb Sally Magnusson or the wonderful Jackie Bird from BBC Scotland, or indeed Penny MacMillan from BBC Scotland? Remember that Penny used to present on News 24 in the early days.

Or is it perchance Martine Dennis from BBC World News??

Oh dear.......the excitement and tension is building to high levels...

No - none of the above.

She'll be as familiar to some viewers as Gillian was! Wink

Is that a big enough hint? Very Happy

Nope, wont be Maitlis, she has been on before. More likely to be Ms Preston I think... or perhaps that brown haired woman... cant remember her name.

However will Natasha Kaplinsky be Natasha Bower when she returns...

"Now on BBC One, the news with George Alagiah, Natasha Bower and Gordon Burns" has a certain ring to it!

However, the current state of BBC1 NW, they probably wont be arsed with recording new idents!!!

So really it's got to be either Louisa Preston or Riz Latif, then. My guess would be Riz - she seems more like Breakfast material!!

Yeah Riz does seem likely - shes good anyway. Has Gillian left Breakfast then? or is this person just covering?
