The Graphics are tightly entrenched with the main Graphics for bbc news, so loosing them seems odd.
No, Nicky means it's all change from what Breakfast uses now. It's getting closer to News, not further away from it. But as MediaBoy said above, it's a little Strictly Come Dancing...!!

How much closer can it get, it uses the same graphics but with orange instead of red. And Strictly Come Dancing?!?! I can't begin to imagine how that could go along side BBC News...
Not really too excited about it tbh, didn't even know about it till I noticed the thread title earlier this afternoon. The only thing I feel needs changing is the titles, and barco backing. New music is always nice from David Lowe, and hope the graphics aren't radically different.
Similar to the News Channel one but instead of a newsroom behind the frosted glass and frosted swirly designs have a city skylight with an orange sunrise?
I think that would look far more interesting than what they have now!
Oh and I hope the new theme has a bit more authority- current one sounds a bit tinny and wet
I think there were some suggestions earlier that the new backgroud is red not orange. if so this would work with the NC desk, so they could use it at the weekend, but I'd imagine they won't.
I can see strictly come dancing feel to Breakfast.
Alan Dedicoat announces "Live from London, this is BBC Breakfast, now please welcome your hosts for today Bill Turnbull and Kate Silverton"
As the live audicence in the studio, applaud, Bill and Kate, appear at the top of a grand staircase and as the live band plays, they make their way down, towards the sofa, but before that they take a quick waltz on the studio floor and dance their way over to the sofa - then Bill welcomes viewers with a catchprase, similar to Bruce's

Good Game, Good Game? What a lovely Audience? Didn't they do well? With a pose at the top of the walkway
I've always said BBC News should do a Sky News and dance along their video wall.
