Yes. I like it on my Forest shirts...
In all seriousness, it works well on Breakfast, especially with the orange.
I like RED though. I also like Breakfast
Not that the two could ever be linked in the future or anything?

It will look VERY different from Monday
and i'm saying nothing - but there's a definate 'Strictly Come Dancing' feel to the titles...
That's not encouraging.
I'm also finding myself wondering whether any effort will have been made to return Breakfast to a style closer to the main BBC News image and branding.
Prior to 2004 (and since being rebranded as simply 'Breakfast' in 2000), the programme was much more closely aligned with BBC News branding, in terms of the titles...

...and even the set, which - although distinctive and unique - still featured many elements common to the rest of the BBC News sets:

When the programme changed its look to what we know and are ambivalent about today, it ditched much of its allegiance to the BBC News 'corporate look', adopting a completely new set of titles (based around 'sunrises'):

The only major commonality to the BBC News branding of the time was the use of the Swiss font family.

In the example of the titles two images above, you'll note that even the BBC News logo isn't the same as the 'correct' version - although bizarrely, there was a second set of titles which did use the correct logo, and both continue to be played out (indeed, you may well see both versions broadcast during this final weekend of the current branding on Breakfast).
Although the clock and supers were replaced when the current BBC News branding launched last April, the titles and set remained the same, and I would have liked to see any new look for Breakfast move closer towards BBC News branding.
The different looks of BBC regional news, new non-English news services (An La, Persian, Turkish), national/News Channel, the Nations' individual news services, and to a lesser extent, visual branding for the regional radio services, all go to show that it is possible to achieve distinctiveness in the current Lambie Nairn-designed branding, while adhering to that house style.
I will be disappointed if the new look visually distances itself further from the current BBC News brand identity, especially if they continue to label it as part of the BBC News family.
