Is Sonia Deol pregnant?

She looked it this morning.

Dunno about pregnant, but she was irritating.

"It's ten after eight".

No it's not - it's ten minutes past eight, you illiterate moron. Don't Americanise my news for me.

She really needs to be banned from reading the news. There must be hundreds of people who could do a better job at it than her.

Personally I've got no problem with Sonia - I'm sure she'll get better in time!

Newsmonkey, is Kate still standing in for Sian? Or will the role be split more towards her and Louise?

The sooner Minchin leaves that sofa the better. Waking up is hard enough without having to put up with Louise. Sorry if this offends any Minchin fans out there. Breakfast is my favourite show and it's really putting me off.

if anyone asks for reasons why.. here goes..

Comes across as snobby
Awful dress sense
Doesn't fit in.
Lacks everything Sian has
Doesn't respond to co-presenters jokes
Generally annoying.

Yes, and Sian is none of those!

Got to agree, Newsroom. Breakfast just isn't the same without Bill and, especially, Sian. It feels like a completely different programme. As soon as Sian went on maternity leave, I switched to GMTV. I will, however, tune in again on Friday as I think Charlie and Susannah are a great team too.

Its Jon Sopel doesnt' fit in, I wouldn't laugh at his "jokes" either. He tries to be funny, but is not.

I wouldn't bother tuning in this Friday, it's Charlie and shouty Sonia, Susanna is heading out to the states for the Oscars.

Louise Minchin is the best of the lot IMO.

And I've always thought that she and Jon Sopel were a great team on the News Channel, nice to see them together on Breakfast.

Bill and Sian are excellent, but it doesn't do any harm to have a change, does it?

Seconded, I have found Breakfast far more watch able the last few days with Jon and Louise, rather than Bill and Sian, it reminds me of the Raworth-Bowen days.

Thirded! I usually watch GMTV, but this morning I watched Breakfast for around 15 minutes to see what Jon would be like and I found the programme much more watchable.

A bit of waffle now which you can choose to read or not: Jon isn't afraid to show the camera some crotch shots too.. it annoys me when presenters/guests are around the sofa and purposely/make it obvious by putting their hands over the area when it really doesn't matter. It's like women doing it with their upper half.

Oh my gripe isn't with Jon, actually I'm rather a fan, but Louise just doesn't do it for me in the mornings. She's better off doing what she does best - annoying those who watch BBC NC during the day.

I happened to notice this morning that they've finally got a ticker on the BBC News Channel simulcast of Breakfast. How long have they done this? It did appear to be the World ticker from what I could make out though.
