A few points I find interesting about the Breakfast website:
Clearly someone's going to a lot of trouble to update it and refresh it Interesting to see Kate's profile re-added to the presenters page (in with all the other regulars)
Interesting to see Simon Jack's profile added - looks like Adam Shaw isn't replacing Declan after all...

Adam Shaw's biog on the BBC press office site says: "He has presented BBC Two's Working Lunch programme and is the business presenter of BBC Radio 4's Today Programme."
I wonder if there has been a change around and that he will stay on The Today Programme. It's possible that either the current economic climate, another presenter elsewhere or Adam's ability on Today has made them reconsider.
When oh when are they going to ditch the horrid 'fake tan' orange background?
I'd second that! With the technology available, why on earth is the background so bleugh, and static!! A slow annimation a la Newsnight would be great!
I also think that sofa doesnt fit the set properly....have never really liked the 'stuck in a corner' look!
I never saw the reason why they got rid of the clouds background, that looked alot nicer and refreshing, compared to 20 years of dull colours on BBC Breakfast (Time/News)

I think, its because people rang in complaining it was "too cold".
....and it looked pretty awful - the blue made the cracks show up worse than they did in N6 with the orange background.
I don't think that current background looks
that
bad - the thing that bothers me is that they present a three hour show from a small corner of a studio from one sofa, with a limited number of shots. I know budgets play a part, but just compare this corner of TC7 to the studio when the programme launched - main desk, Moira's area, sofa area used for in-depth business interview etc.
Yes, the biggest problem with the set is that they present the show from a sofa stuck in one corner. With a bit more imafgination much better use could be made of the space.
But aren't desks considered *nasty* for breakfast tv now, because it means the presenters can't connect to the viewers
TC7 is such a good space...Working Lunch, although its not that aesthetically pleasing does show that the space is fairly flexible!
Just look at how great that same set looks on the Andrew Marr show, a great background, lovely furnature, plus the posts and shelves to break up the simple chair/sofa and screens that breakfast has.
I do think that they could come up with a better background, or even just a moving one. I also think that they could use the desk, at the end of the day, it is there on the left hand side, as shown on a couple of wide shots.
