Sometimes it does appear to be live with banter and studio cross shots with the main presenter and studio weather person in view due to the camera angle used but at other times (the majority) it cuts straight to the presenter making it more obvious it's not live.

I don't think we're Live in the North West, although its definately recorded that morning, as whoever presents it, in our case Heather Stott will also be on Radio Manchester presenting and doing the Weather on there aswell.

I noted before 7:30am Sian said along the lines of "if anyone is in [insert place name] and spots Carol ask her to give us a call".

Look North Yorkshire has live Breakfast forecasts either by Keeley Donovan or Lisa Gallagher. At least with a live forecast it enables some interaction with the presenter and allows flexibility to lengthen/shorten the forecast depending on how long is left to opt back. I've seen plenty of pre-recorded regional Breakfast forecasts that have had to be cut short either by missing out the summary or opting in late as soon as it had finished.

Who isn't getting a London recorded regional forecast these days at breakfast?
Looks like West Midlands(own record!) & from what I saw Monday via SKY, North West(live!) aren't, but is anyone else doing their own thing?

There was good evidence it was Live yesterday morning at 7.30am, Heather Stott had a massive coughing fit on air and had to take the presenters glass of water.

Does anyone know how Olympic Breakfast is going to work next week? Will a normal edition of Breakfast from TC7 with guests and fluffy items and so on be shown in full on the news channel with BBC One opting in for the weather, the headlines etc, or will it just be normal rolling news on the news channel, and BBC One opting into that between olympic events.
RO
I believe that Olympic Breakfast will opt into Breakfast at 6,7 and 8 for a News summary and weather. Breakfast will end at 8.30 as normal on BBC News. Olympic Breakfast will also have regional news and weather at 6.30, 7.30, 7.55 and 8.30. The news summaries will be on at the weekends as well as weekdays.
Breakfast will be presented by Charlie Stayt and Susanna Reid for most of next week, Chris Hollins and Sonia Deol on Friday. Not sure where Breakfast will come from though, whether its N6 or TC7.

Breakfast will be coming from the same studio as normal (TC7 weekdays, N6 weekends) and will end at 0830 on weekdays when the News Channel in N6 takes over, so there'll be no light-news/feature/celeb Bridge.
BBC One meanwhile will get bespoke four-minute news summaries at 6, 7, 8 and 9 - so there'll be no opting involved. These will come from N10 (as the national summaries do now) and be presented by three familiar faces. They will however be produced by Breakfast, with a brief weather graphic presenter read at the end, and regional news at the bottom of the hour as Ronant said.

It sounds like it will be quite an odd programme, one minute you are watching heats from the swimming, next minute the news where you are, then back to swimming

PS
A shame to see Declan go but I suppose he must be getting a little bored of being on Breakfast as he's been there for the five years I've been watching the programme and I'm sure he was there before that.
Besides we've been seing less and less of Declan recently with other presenters such as Aaron Hesselhurst and Paddy O Connor presenting instead.
Never been a big fan of Declan so won't be missing him.
Although Adam's perfectly competent, I'd have liked to have seen Aaron Heslehurst get the job full time.
I think he's excellent.
