What a dire presenter line up this morning, Ben stumbling and wooden and Sonia shouthing in a piercing voice. No way to be eased into a Sunday morning.

Yep, absolutely awful. The paper review I saw this morning just before Match of the Day was abysmal - the two seemed to have no idea what they were saying.
Breakfast seem to be going for less high-profile presenters for weekend cover - at one point you had Kate Silverton, Louise Minchin, Charlie Stayt and Simon McCoy all as cover, Louise is off doing 'Missing Live', Kate's at the one/ 8pm, Charlie is the main presenter (thus can't be cover for himself now can he?) and Simon is only just back on Breakfast recently.

They really need good presenters as relief again!

It looks like we might be seeing more of Deol though since I don't think she has any other television work at the moment - I think she left the Asian Network, though I'm not sure. Does anyone know if Julia George will be returning. She was excellent but seems to have been on maternity leave for a long time.

Breakfast was AWFUL today, constantly looking at eachother as if they didn't know who was saying what, and most of the time looked like Sonia and Ben hated each other!

I thought I saw Julia George on the sofa talking about something the other morning.

Please no more of Sonia, well unless she learns that it's not necessary to shout the whole time.

If Bill and Charlie are to be confirmed as main and weekend presenters respectively, they really need to think about the male cover - Simon McCoy would be good, but would he be willing to do it?, maybe they need to look beyond N24, though. What happened to Michael Peschardt, he's not been over for a while and he was fine as a relief presenter.

Michael lives out in Australia, so only does relief once or twice a year. He wouldn't be in a position I wouldn't have thought do the odd weekend.

Is it me or was there 2 good reasons to watch Susannah Reid this morning?

(Wonder if the TSCelebs lot have noticed, they with their video capture cards?)

I know what you are alluding to but, looking at the subject seriously, she is awful. She is so patronising and speaks so slowly as if she does not have enough script/questions to fill the time allowed for each piece.

Its a spin off of a daytime BBC One show called Missing, a documentary a bit like Traffic Cops looking at the search of missing individuals.

I'm guessing its a mix of the original format and crimewatch!

Well Jules is now back doing reports both yesterday and this morning. Good to see her back.

Crikey! I haven't seen her since she represented Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest all those years ago! You gotta admit, she used to shout then as well, so at least she is being consistent and is still shouting after all those years.

Is Breakfast heading in the direction of GMTV by having various dumbed-down patronising mumsy presenters appear on the sofa these days???

Methinks a few people have taken a wrong turning at TVC whilst looking for the Blue Peter studio.

Are you being sarcastic by any chance? That's not the Sonia we're talking about...
