Just seen in next weeks Whats On TV mag that next Thursdays show is a special one to celebrate 25 years of Breakfast tv on the BBC.

Ooh, that sounds good. Let's hope they delve into the archive - back into the virtual era days and before. I hope they don't just go right back to the start in 1983 and then skip back to the 2000s.

According to the Mail on Sunday there will be and Selina Scott will be co-presenting the last 40 minutes of the programme...

Selina pops in for Breakfast again

Oh fantastic! Can't wait for that!

Does anyone know what's happening with the Breakfast website - still not been updated.

At least she's appearing this time...at the 21st anniversary she refused to take part....something to do with Greg Dyke, and him calling her a lesbian Laughing

She has been on the red settee last year . . . She sat on the sofa along with her dog - she was promoting the Julian Clary programme where celebrities trained dogs?? Can't remember the name of that.

Selina and Mishal Hussain were the guests - along with the dogs. Even though they were promoting the Dog show - the presenters (guess it was Sian) couldn't help prompting Selina to reminisce about Breakfast Time.

BBC Radio Cornwall and Devon will also be celebrating their 25th birthdays on the same day as BBC Breakfast, 17th January:

Bit off the current topic, but I watched Breakfast at 6.00am this morning and they were on the sofa...

Is this what it's like all the time now? Is the desk not used?

I think so. The desk seems to be certainly relegated from regular use. When the current set was first used, it was predominantly desk with random dashes across the studio to the sofa. Then it became clearer with the first half hour desk, last half hour sofa. Now it appears to be almost all sofa.

I think it's better if they use the desk for the first hour. That tends to be more news orientated. The sofa should be reserved for the "softer" items later on or for interviewing guests other than news correspondents.

They are to bring back the 1983 set tomorrow Shocked

The best days of breakfast(alough short lived) was the 2000-2002 set and line up I think something simmiler to that set should be created for the next revamp(march)
Is moira not going to be there.
