It does make sense I suppose though, hopefully we will see the back of Julia Ceaser too!

Makes sense to use Declan more, and I enjoy watching him, but I have a feeling Caesar will just move to the afternoon/evening shift on News 24.

Does/ Will he present breakfast from the stock exchange? It would make sense for him to move to TVC, that way being able to make reports/ appear on programs easier AND save money!

Doubt we'll see less of Julia Ceasor (thankfully) as she simply presents on News 24 - Declan's new role is reporting for News 24 and the one. Has no one else noticed something too? Which economics editor who makes reports is leaving soon? Suggests to me they'll devide his job up to Declan, Hugh and Rory...

Yes, but the press release says he currently reports for BBC Breakfast, so if he does the same for News 24 as he does for Breakfast then he will be presenting. And I think they probably will appoint a new Economics Editor rather than splitting it up, even if a current reporter gets the job, since the economy is going to be a big story in 2008.

Yes - and the reference to "The One O'Clock News" is a little misleading - as this is soon going to be produced by a News 24 team AIUI rather than a separate dedicated BBC One bulletin team (which will remain in more of a form for the Six and Ten O'Clock News)

Effectively Declan will continue business presenting/reporting for News 24 including the One O'Clock bulletin that they produce that will be simulcast on BBC One from the same studio as News 24.

Good to see Declan being used more as he is one of the best presenters who communicates the stories clearly and in detail, but who is able to have a laugh and joke as well. It will also be good to see him do more reporting as well.

Why?

This may sound silly, but that's not a bad idea. Someone could keep track of all the presenters shifts thoughout the year, and tally up the stats at the end. Obviously, the person who would do this could just keep a document on his/her computer, rather than post on TVF every day?

Ha Ha!! because it's a geeky thing to do and that's why we're all on this forum!!

And maybe if there were some sort of table on this website stating who presented what, people wouldn't ask all the time!!
