No-one is interested, thank you. Move along now.

It's disturbing that:
Arrow He/she bothers to find out this information
Arrow He/she bothers to share it!

Could somebody please tell me the name of the gentleman who presented the weather this morning on Breakfast?

(It's for the 2007: Newscaster of the Year thread)

I didn't see it but I'd guess that it was either Alex Deakin or Matt Taylor. If he was Scottish, it was the latter.

I really wish BBC Breakfast would use this backdrop.

It would look great around this time of the year.
Especially as its getting colder.

They used it when they launched ISTR - did nothing for their close-ups. It looked great on wides...

(Great mistake directors and set designers often make is to sacrifice the main close up to make the wideshot look good. You see the close up a LOT more often...)

Really? I think it makes the set look warmer and would be better in summer.

That whole first set design was a disaster really, wasn't it... the clouds looked absolutely awful and cartoonish, and MY OH MY those corners!!

Yea I know it makes the set look warmer.
That is why I said it would look good around this time of the year.
And looking at it again, I do think that this would work in the summer as you said.

I think the main problem was the way they had the backdrop in sync with the real world. The blue background from the short while it was used looked bad close or wide if you ask me, I don't think we ever got to see how it would have looked when orange.

That sunset never was used on screen, only in a behind the scenes video, which is a shame.
