I do like the aerial camera shot of just the sofa though, it doesn't make the studio look half empty.

I personally don't like the set that much - I preferred the one used from Breakfast's launch in 2000 up until June 2003 - with the large desk, plasma screen TVs and the separate sofa area. Also I think it was a really good idea to have scrolling news and several miniscreens displayed from 6 - 7am - don't you agree??

I am passign through the UK today en route to USA biz trip and managed to catch Breakfast this morning, in parts.

Apart from the slight chnages in the Biz News due Declan being out on the road, and Sally at the exchange etc, the only other thing that caught my attention was just how knackered, tired, pale and lifeless Natasha Kaplinsky looked. She was in no way fresh and breezy as she used to be, and looked as though she had been up all night.

I know that others had remarked the same in previous posts, but I saw the reality of it this morning. The poor lady looks totally exhausted.

Maybe Breakfast is no longer a suitable outlet for her, given her other works commitments. Maybe more suited to the Six??

Watching on analogue this morning from Emley Moor from about 7.15 to 7.45, I noticed that Breakfast was going out in 4:3 (centre cut-out) rather than the usual 14:9 letterbox. This was the same during the Look North bulletin at 7.30am.

Was this the same in other regions, or was this just a Leeds thing? And any idea why it was like this?

you're right - maybe she's tired from figuring out how she's gonna spend her 500k and not forgetting she's got a rich fella now.

One thing no-one picks up on and, maybe it's as the majority of you posters are men is how dowdy Natasha's outfits are. On Monday she wore a purple jacket that she's had since her Sky days and today that awful pink jacket that's seen better days. For all ther glamourous evening wear and fancy hairdos she does rather let herself down in the clothes department. She badly needs to hit the shops and buy some new blouses & jackets infact i don't know why she wears jackets. If she dressed a bit more sexily we could forgive her for fluffing her lines but maybe she'll figure that one out - having said that it's been 2 and a half years so maybe she won't. I do like her a lot tho and think she's an asset to Breakfast.

Does anyone know why the weekday editions of Breakfast are always introduced with the words, "Hello this is Breakfast with ...", whilst the weekend editions are introduced with, "Good morning and welcome to Breakfast from BBC News with ..."?

Because at the weekends the programme is accomodated by a BBC News studio whereas during the week the programme is from its own studio inside the main television centre.
