When Dermot leaves, I'd have the BBC News rota as follows (I was trying to be funny with the Ben Brown one - obviously didn't work out!)

Arrow Bill and Sian as main presenters of Breakfast, with Charlie and Susanna being their deputies. Simon and Kate would cover
Arrow Sophie continuing on the One, with Sian Williams as her deputy. Jane Hill would cover. When Soph goes on maternity leave, Sian would be made main presenter, with Jane as deputy, and maybe Louise/Emily as cover
Arrow George would continue solo with the Six, with Bill as his deputy. Nicholas Owen would cover (I actually think he's fantastic compared to Ben bloody Brown)
Arrow Huw and Fiona carry on with the Ten, with Jon Sopel covering
Arrow The weekend/bank holiday news would also have a regular presenter, with maybe Simon, Emily or Mishal getting the job


I have heard a lot mostly on here that kate may move to the one with carrie filling in on N24.
Maxine maywhinny has done the one before hasnt she-for all we know she could be in the running.

EVERYONE'S DONE THE ONE! Chris Eaklin, Emily Maitlis, Mishal Husain, Kate Silverton, Sian Williams, Bill Turnball and Louise Minchin!

I just think it's odd that Kate is never on News 24 anymore! Unfortunately I suspect if Kate moves to the One she might get it permanently Confused And where would that leave Sophie???

Because if you are a regular viewer of BBC world you cant live in th UK then unless you have that extra sat dish

While I'm in rant mode, why can people STILL not spell Bill Turnbull's name right? I still see "Bill Turnball".

It's like saying "you're going to see James Blont tonight" (to use a ridiculous example... who the f*ck would pay money to see James Blunt?!?!)... why can't you spell it? ARE you a prize ****?

Bill hasn't actually been confirmed as the main presenter has he? I agree that it's probably going to be him, unless Simon McCoy makes a suprise return.
