I can't think of a decent male presenter other than Bill, unless they allow either Declan Curry or Chris Hollins a go in the hotseat.
Agreed. I'd like to see Declan or Chris have a go at presenting the main programme.
The other man that sticks out in my mind is Jon Sopel who always seems to do well whenever he presents. The pairing of him and Julia George (Jules Botfield at the time) about three years ago was a particularly good one with the right combination of serious and light-hearted presentation.

I forgot all about Jules Botfield. Where is she these days? She was also very, very good.

Will there be a space for her on Breakfast or will she move to BBC News generally? Susanna Streeter seems to be on a lot more since she returned, with Ben Ando now doing the nationals/ 24?

Random, I know, but maybe she doesn't want to come straight back to work after giving birth to a child?

i think most presenters would deem presenting breakfast as a demotion. Its not only the ungodly hr they have to be up at but the drivel they have to present while trying to look interested. Don't know how Sian does it with having a little baby - all i can say is the money must be good. Think if she does't get a main new slot she may go back to producing which would be a shame as she's a good presenter.

I don't think you have the SLIGHTEST idea what you're talking about whatsoever.
Firstly, Breakfast is an extremely popular show for BBC News - it attracts nearly the same amount of viewers as GMTV , and sometimes above that number, every morning, thus one cannot deem it a "demotion". Yes, you get up at an ungodly hour, but you finish work at lunchtime, and try to go to bed early!
As well as this, I can't remember when you met Sian Williams but whenever you did I'm sure she didn't tell you what her immediate career plans are if she doesn't get a "main slot". Breakfast is a main slot, you dwango. And as for the money issue - well don't you think that's a rather crude and personal assumption to make?
