Someone or something not working quite right in the West this morning either - the first bulletin didn't happen at all, instead showing the whole of London's news, and then later we got London again for the first 5 or so seconds before cutting abruptly back to Seb.

Problems in the South East too. We got a second or two of London on most of the opts. Even London were 'opting' quite late, I know London don't really opt and I know they have to show an extra second of Breakfast compared to the regions so that it gives everyone a chance to opt out, but this morning on several of the opts, the camera moved away from the set and was on its way back before BBC London appeared.

I wonder what the problem was.

While this person speaking about getting a "language advisor" at the BBC is making a salient point about how the syntax of reporters has worsened, he is just coming across as a Telegraph-reading numpty.

Ha! Kate has just inferred she hasn't seen a "style book" recently... Smile

If Breakfast did throw to the regions at 0821 (that's at least 5 minutes early) I'm not at all surprised London was shown in a number of regions. In fact, I'm fairly surprised London were ready to go to air.

I was very surprised to see John Simpson on Breakfast this morning at around 8.17 actually talking about the news.

Being Breakfast at that time of the morning I thought he had a new book out and was being interviewed about that.

Caught this, liked when Bill said...

"Now we hand you over to your News teams across the United Kingdom" in a very BBC voice. Laughing

Surely she implied it and you inferred it... (If we are going to be all accurate about things...)

So was there a problem with Breakfast this morning? The 6.26 opt was London News down here (as I mentioned in the SW Thread) and Jugalug said it was because they weren't ready. The 6:55 opt was OK, but obviously things had gone awry again by 8:21.

No, the 8.21 thing happened 2 weeks ago, just that deejay's just caught up!

Did Michael Ball infer or imply that Kate Silverton had small boobs this morning?
